Expeditor

The Production Control Expeditor I is responsible for compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, value of material, tooling, other merchandise or supplies stocked in the company. The position will coordinate and expedite materials, tooling, parts and assemblies in order to meet production schedules.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Requires a high school diploma.

2. Zero to two (0-2) years experience in inventory control for a manufacturing company.

3. Ability to use systems to count and maintain inventory. The skills and knowledge must include PC knowledge, and spreadsheet applications.

4. Inventory Control experience within a MRP environment preferable.

5. The senses of sight, speech (English), and hearing are required. The physical requirements are sitting the majority of the time in an office environment. Walking around the office location is required.

6. Mental abilities are required to compute business math formulas.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. The majority of the time will be spent in an manufacturing environment with a controlled temperature.

2. The hours may be long when specific material requirements are due; thus some extended schedules will be necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Interface with Production and Production Control to insure tracking, receipt and movement of required material through the factory.

2. Interface with Quality Control, Stockroom, and Receiving to internally expedite material which is necessary to support manufacturing flow.

3. Print routers and control flow of the kitting operation to meet and maintain production schedules.

4. Responsible for the flow in/out and accuracy of the WIP supermarket location.

5. Perform other duties, as assigned or necessitated by business conditions or changes.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Production Control Expeditor I is accountable for all inventory activities. The authority to implement the duties and responsibilities flows from the Materials Manager/Production Control Supervisor.
