Shipping/Receiving/Stockroom Clerk


Receives, stores, and issues material, supplies, or tools and compiles stock records in stockroom.


  • Requires a high school diploma or GED with a business background or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarization with computers.
  • Prefer experience with shipping/receiving and inventory control for small size manufacturing company.
  • The senses of sight, speech (English), and hearing are required. The physical requirements are standing and sitting (50/50) in a shop environment. Walking around the office location is required. Lifting of boxes of products shipped or received and carrying them to an inspection location (40 pounds), twisting, bending, stooping, and the flexing of the fingers, hands and wrists in working with the PC are required.
  • Mental abilities are required to compute business math formulas.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.


  • To ship and receive product within the required time frame and to keep purchasing and production aware of any deviations from the schedule. Along with the preparation of all shipping/receiving documentation and packaging.
  • To weigh, count, and/or measure product accurately to verify shipment or receipt.
  • Takes physical cycle counts of materials, tooling and other merchandise.
  • Complies and enters information of receipt of materials, tooling or other merchandise.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count and investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Pick up and delivery of material and production parts in accordance with the production control driving schedule.
  • Performs computer entry of usages for non-precious metal materials, tooling and other merchandise on a regular basis.
  • Maintain the finished goods area.
